Liquids on board
European Union and the Italian Civil Aviation Authority have introduced new security rules that limit the amount of liquid substances passengers can take through airport security checks. The new security measures apply to all passengers departing from airports in the European Union including Norway, Iceland and Switzerland, and travelling to any destination.
What has changed
Passengers will be allowed to carry on board small quantities of liquids only. Liquids should be carried in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100ml. / 3.4oz. or equivalent (100gr.). All items will have to be carried in a clear, transparent, re-sealable, one-litre capacity (e.g. 18x20cm in size) plastic bag. Only one plastic bag will be allowed per passenger.

It is still allowed to:
- transport liquids in registered baggage which will have to be declared when checking-in, and are approved by the airline. The new rules only apply to hand baggage.
